At Oceanside Veterinary Clinic, a family owned and operated local business, we treat you and your pets like family. Our goal is to help strengthen the special bond between you and your pet through our personalized services and health care education.

Built on the foundation of providing outstanding customer service along with the most progressive medicine for our patients, Ohlandt Vet Clinic was established in 1983 by the beloved Johnny Ohlandt, Jr, DVM, and has been a prominent and trusted fixture on James Island for over 30 years. Dr. Ohlandt retired from small animal clinical practice in 2014. He set the standard for exceptional pet care with a friendly family feel, and it is one in which we continue to pride ourselves in today as the newly renamed Oceanside Veterinary Clinic.

Our devoted staff of receptionists, technicians and veterinarians will always greet with you a smile, listen to your concerns and treat your furry friend with love and compassion. We strive to provide the possible best care for your pet, in doing so we are dynamic in our medicine and are ever advancing our services and technology.

Our office runs by Appointment: Mon-Fri 8am-6 pm. We try our hardest to work in critical and emergency cases, please try to call us before coming in. Surgeries Mon-Fri – In order to ensure your pets safety, we require an up-to-date physical exam and recommend pre-anesthetic bloodwork prior to surgery.
